Office 2010 is getting a huge update in the mobile stakes too. The beta companion to the next major update of the desktop flavour was made available on November 18th.
It’s a pretty major overhaul thanks in part to the new and dare we say it, pretty comprehensive WYSIWYG editing capability in Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
There’s a couple of nice new features too, in the form of SharePoint Workspace Mobile enabling you to manage your Office documents off your office’s servers and a new Bluetooth feature in PowerPoint that allows you to use your handset as a second screen by showing you your slide notes in real time while running a presentation off your PC.
You can download it now for free from the Windows Marketplace, but don’t expect anything if you’re using WinMo 6.0 or 6.1 as it’s not going to be backwards compatible even for the retail release.
