Sony have been flashing their commitment to going 3D in 2010, and what better way to do it than building a whopping 280-inch 3D-ready TV. The electronics heavyweight displayed the monster screen at Japan’s annual International Broadcast Equipment Exhibition, describing the screen as a “3D LED wall”.
The screen itself is made possible by a series of 70 28-inch LED-backlit screens. Anaglyph was used to create images for the left and right eyes, while viewers apparently had to wear polarising glasses to see the screen’s image in 3D. Catch a video of it in action after the break.
